Two splints in the back (one is missing). SIZE: 15 3/8 x 13 3/4 in (39 x 35 cm). CONDITION: Good. The author’s original painting of the icons has been fully preserved. The icon was cleaned of old darkened varnish.

Condition: Very good. The original basma (silver frame) and halo of the icon were removed, which is evident by masked nail holes in the corners of the boarder. Icon cleaned of old darkened varnish, has small restoration of gesso on the boarder and background of the painting.

The border and the background of the painting decorated with swirling ornament on gold leaf in traditional style of 17th century frame (basma). The inside edge of the razed boarder (luzga) decorated with traditional Russian ornament (raspisnaya luzga). On the back of the icon is an official certificate of USSR Ministry of Culture, dated February 2nd, 1978. The certificate is signed, stamped and has a seal. SIZE: 12 1/2 in. x 10 1/4 in. (31.5 cm. x 26 cm.) Condition. Nearly excellent.
